Head here to relax on the white sand beach, surf the ocean waves, swim in the relaxing waters of Pilot Bay, soak in the hot pools on the beach, meet friends a cafe, or walk up the mighty Mount Maunganui for 360 degree views spanning the entire length of the Bay of Plenty.

Papamoa Beach

20 minute drive
Blessed with 16km of uncrowded pristine beach, Papamoa is worth the visit. After a day at the beach, head to one of the many new local restaurants for a fun and casual dining experience.

Kaiate Falls

18 minute drive
Forest trails lead to this series of waterfalls with a swimming hole, picnic area & scenic views. It's a great place to take the family or get some peace and quiet.

Pukehina, Waihi & More
Three Creeks Estate is the perfect base for those who like to explore a little further on the weekend. Pukehina and Waihi are among some of the stunning beaches within an hours drive. Rotorua town centre is also an hour away, as well as Te Aroha, the historic spa town is famous for its natural hot soda water springs, gold mining and mountain hiking and biking trails.

Whakarewarewa forest park

1 hour drive
One of New Zealand's most impressive forests - Over 5,600 hectares of forest awaits you to enjoy and explore at your leisure. If you love the outdoors and want to experience nature at its best this area is definitely for you! The forest is most well known for the network of superb mountain biking and walking tracks and for the magnificent stand of Californian Coast Redwoods.

Lake Rotoiti

1 hour drive
Lake Rotoiti is one of the three largest lakes in the Rotorua region. Surrounded by lush native bush, it also features glow worm caves and a secluded hot pool complex. Best explored by boat, Lake Rotoiti is popular for recreational boating, water sports and fishing. An absolute must visit! There are many lakes to explore in this district, including Lake Tikitapu (pictured) which gets its name, Blue Lake, for its bright aqua colour.
